A Look Back into the Past of the GMC Terrain

The GMC Terrain was born in 2010 out of consumer demand for smaller, more efficient crossover vehicles. The Terrain then shared the same platform with its sister vehicle: the Chevrolet Equinox. The 2010 Terrain model, however, benefitted from a significantly more upscale design, as GMC placed an emphasis on establishing an individual identity for the Terrain. The vehicle was available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

GMC continued to improve the luxury aspects of the Terrain up to the 2013 model year with the addition of the Denali trim level. In 2015, GMC added OnStar® technology to this vehicle and every other GMC model as well.

As the American car buying public's desire for crossover vehicles continues to grow, so do sales of the GMC Terrain. GMC's constant efforts in innovation and adding the newest in technology features to the Terrain ensure that sales of this vehicle will continue to climb.
